SUCCESS STORY

Helping a quick-serve restaurant brand reduce costs and accelerate expansion

  • A UK-based Asian-inspired QSR brand.

our impact

A well-known UK-based quick-serve restaurant brand had an ambitious five-year plan to open 100 new restaurants: 50 in the UK and 50 more across the US and Europe. But the COVID pandemic and ongoing supply chain volatility threatened to derail its expansion. FourCentric’s collaborative approach across the group rapidly provided insights and visibility that helped get the plan back on track.

the Business challenge

The client initially wanted support with packaging and equipment sourcing, but the brief soon evolved to include benchmarking fit-out costs and improving supplier transparency.

4C Associates was first engaged to address the original brief. As the scope expanded, 4C looked to the broader group to deliver specialist support at pace.

The integrated FourCentric group structure meant 4C Associates could seamlessly draw on capabilities across the group, bringing together the right subject-matter experts as one team.

Our Approach

Procure4 led a comprehensive review of the packaging supply chain, engaging directly with suppliers and issuing an RFP to benchmark costs and sustainability performance and evaluate commercial viability. The end-to-end review provided visibility across categories and confirmed that the incumbent consolidator agent was delivering strong commercial value and opened opportunities for sustainable innovation.

EBIT applied deep sector knowledge and cost modelling expertise to review and benchmark costs across the store fit-out programme.

  • Saved an average 13% on the cost of store fit-outs
  • Improved supply chain visibility
  • Benefited from faster time-to-action
  • Strengthened client’s supplier negotiating position
